Boat, Taxi, Train, Plane and Bus: Travel Day June 17

A 12 hour travel day, starting at 6:30. Taxied from the boat to the train to Berlin:
Previous occupants must have had a wild overnight train ride!

Then to Tegel, a Berlin airport, to catch a plane to Milan, Italy. A bus to the train station which got us to Alessandria, the starting point for a week long self - guided bike trip in the Piedmont area. We found our hotel at about 6:30.
What a change, from an overcast, chilly Germany to a 90+ degree Italy. From the quiet,  reserved Germans to the vociferous Italians. In Germany our conversations in public drew stares, in Italy they were lost in the cacophony of everyday life.
An early (by Italian stsndards) pizza dinner, then to bed.
