Werder to Brandenberg an den Havel June 14

A most excellent day of biking!

We grabbed our bikes and saw the sights of the small village of Werder.

Then headed out on the extensive system of bike paths constructed on dikes along the Havel river and it's connected lakes.

The weather was perfect.  In one wooded section we saw a swan pair schooling their chicks on grooming.
In addition to the abundant bird population, there were flowers to behold.

The day ended in Brandenburg with a tour of its Dom, cathedral. Construction began in 1187.

While we were there the organist and an oboe player were practising for a concert. What a treat to enjoy the music, the acoustics were amazing.
Back at the boat, Jantien and Felix helped celebrate Connie and Bob's 47th anniversary.
